Karina Billiris Findlay, MD, FACS, FAAO, is a well-versed ophthalmologist and medical and surgical retina specialist who diagnoses and treats patients as partner with Retina Vitreous Associates of Florida at the offices in Tampa, Temple Terrace, and Wesley Chapel, FL. Karina Billiris Findlay, MD, FACS, FAAO, attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine, and received her medical degree in 1993. Then, she served his internship and conducted her residency in ophthalmology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine (1993-1997). In addition, she completed her fellowship training in medical and surgical vitreoretinal fellowship with Retina Vitreous Associates of Florida (1997-1998). Dr. Findlay received board certification in ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the Tampa Bay Ophthalmological Society, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, the Hillsborough County Medical Association, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Research to Prevent Blindness, and the American Diabetes Association. Dr. Findlay is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Prior to medical school, she acquired a Summa Cum Laude degree in Chemistry from the University of South Florida in 1989.
